New update that makes the game actually possible to beat
Hey.
So I felt like playing through this game again and seeing how it ran on my new computer (and of COURSE it runs like garbage), but I had almost completely forgotten just how ridiculously hard the beginning of the game is. Every enemy hit way too hard and you had no money to afford anything to actually help you, and that's not even getting into how ridiculously OP the first boss against Aggro is.
So I have decided to update the game by giving the first enemies you face and the Aggro fight immensely easier. They have all been nerfed considerably so now it's actually fuckin' possible to beat them.
That's literally it, there are no other updates besides making the first section easier. I know there are so many other bugs and balance issues that could be fixed but I'm honestly too exhausted to even still care at this point. Games are hard to make and are simply too monumental a task for one person. Not everybody can be a one-man-show like Toby Fox and create the most amazing, perfect games ever all by themselves. Almost as if the professional creative industry is actually necessary because most people can't afford to do this on their own, COUGH COUGH GLITCH, COUGH COUGH SPINDLEHORSE.
Why did I randomly decide to make this update after all this time? Because unlike the sadistic fuckwads running the gaming industry or the toxic unemployed losers living in their mother's basement who hate sharing their toys with "those icky girls with cooties and those n-words taking jobs from white men", I think games should be fun, and fair, and accessible for everyone, and by making this one small change, by doing just slightly more than the bare minimum, I am already showing more care and effort and compassion and mercy than the lazy, sadistic jerkoffs in the industry who create some of the most brutal and unfair works of agonizing torture imaginable because they get hard at the thought of women and children in pain. Unlike them, I want players of my game to have fun and not get roadblocked by unreasonably difficult bullshit design. I want them to enjoy themselves. I want them to see the end of the game. I want them to feel the satisfaction of beating a game without being roadblocked by brutally unfair bullshit or through cheating and removing all challenge and satisfaction from the game. I don't even care if the armor and weapons you get are ridiculously overpowered to the point where enemies can't hurt you but you have to use them because otherwise they kill you in one hit. I'd rather play an easy, boring game than an infuriatingly difficult one, and I think everyone else deserves that too.
I don't even care that my dreams of creating bigger and better games will never come true. They were all stupid pipe dreams based on lies. The world doesn't need "bigger and better" games, anyway. The world needs games that are actually fun and playable and enjoyable. If I can't make the next big indie game to take the world by storm with awesome graphics and gameplay, then the least I can do is make games that are actually fucking fair.
Happy 4/20 and/or Easter. Blaze 'em up.
